LYTA Dunston Tennis Camp – Week 2

Week 2 of the LYTA Dunston Tennis Camp is now over.

We would like to give a shout out to everyone who participated. We had a great week with players showing an amazing level of tennis compared to week one.

Players were able to hit the ball over the net multiple times and play out fun points. All participants shared out each day what they had learned or wanted to learn and read 30 minutes per day as part of Charleston County Library’s Summer Reading Program. Players also participated in USTA’s Team Challenge each Thursday which promoted teamwork instead of just winning or losing.

The final day was open to parents to come and watch their children hit and have fun. Every student received a certificate of camp completion and prizes.

As part of LYTA’s Play More Tennis program certain players received a certificate for free professional tennis lessons at the newly-opened North Charleston Sports Complex. This program promotes continued playing in the community at no cost to parents. Thanks again to everyone who was able to make this another successful tennis camp.

We look forward to seeing everyone on the courts next season.
