I started playing tennis in college at UNC-Chapel Hill and have been playing ever since I coached the girls' tennis team while teaching high school in Tarboro, NC; we won a conference championship there.
In graduate school, I began playing organized league tennis and have continued ever since, improving from
a 3.0 to a 4.5 (now a 4.0).
After retiring in June from my 30+-year career in education (including 27 here in Charleston as a central office and school-based administrator), I am looking for volunteer opportunities and would like to help youth discover the life-long joys of playing tennis.
