LYTA is teaming up with the Third Serve Foundation https://www.thirdservefoundation.com/ to provide free lessons to Hispanic students in North Charleston at Danny Jones Tennis Courts. Funds are coming from USTA Southern. All equipment and training is provided as well as free water bottles and shirts to all participants. Both groups will start off with 8 lessons starting Oct 1, 2024
There are still a few available spaces. Interested families should show up at the courts on the appropriate days and times.
Tuesday lessons are for 1st – 5th grade students from 4 – 5 pm.
Mondays and Wednesdays lessons are from 6 – 7pm for Middle and High School students.

Week 4 of Hispanic Tennis at Danny Jones was sunny skies and more fun tennis activities.. We are getting new students every week! Great job parents and students. Younger players were working on volleys at the net and the older players were working on turning sideways to hit forehands and backhands. We had two special visitors this week who came to help out. – Allen Jensen the Manager of Hispanic Outreach and Training at USTA Southern and Angela Myers from Charleston Bilingual School. Remember middle and high school tennis and is on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 – 7pm. See you next week!
